The Hall was eventually opened ny the Hon. Lady Birkin on November 14th 1925. In the early years the Hall was managed by a committee of four trustees, two members elected by the W.I. and six members elected by the public. The first AGM was held on September 3rd, 1926 and it was reported that in the 9 months since the opening of the hall it had been used 90 times.
Today the hall is managed by a committee of 12 local people including representatives from the W.I. and continues to be very busy hosting a number of regular meetings as well as special events, parties and weddings.
Burton Joyce & Bulcote Village Hall was constructed in 1925 at a cost of about £3000 following a number local fundraising events by the W.I., a generous donation by Roger Hearnshaw and interest free loans from Miss Blagg, Mrs Keeton & Mrs Hearnshaw.
